Cable Installer Claims Was Misclassified as Independent Contractor Sues for Overtime

Claiming that he was misclassified as an independent contractor a cable installer has sued for unpaid overtime compensation.  Tom B. Kirk sued Integral Development Solutions, which had contracted with Time Warner Cable in Dallas, Texas and surrounding cities to provide cable TV installation work.  Kirk claims that Integral intentionally misclassified him as an independent contractor to avoid paying him overtime required by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
