Disability Discrimination Suit Against Grocer

A disability discrimination suit has been filed by the EEOC against a grocer, Jewel-Osco.  The suit claims that Jewel-Osco violated the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) in two ways:

1.  By firing employees that had been on disability leave for one year unless they could return to work without any restrictions or without need for any accomodation.

2.  By denying employees who were injured off the job opportunity to take advantage of a light-duty work program.

Lexington, Kentucky disability lawyer Robert L. Abell represents individuals in disability discrimination cases.
