Hepatitis Cases From Costco Frozen Berries Now Total 61

61 people living in seven different states have developed hepatitis linked to frozen berries bought from Costco and Harrison Teeter stores.  Some of the cases have been acute hepatitis A, a liver infection, that is rarely seen in the United States although it is more common in North Africa and the Middle East.  The prime suspect is frozen pomegranate seeds from Turkey.
