An investigation conducted by the Lexington police has concluded that light pollution created glare that may have caused a fatal accident at Main Street and South Broadway where a Lexington fire truck fatally struck a pedestrian.  A Christmas tree in Triangle Park, other traffic, business signs and street lights may have created glare that prevented a Lexington firefighter from seeing a pedestrian in the cross-walk. Lauren Woodall Roady was in Lexington to participate in a cross-country event at Masterson Station Park. The investigation concluded that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
