In a somewhat unusual variation to sex discrimination, a police recruit has filed a sex discrimination suit claiming that she was denied fair opportunity to complete her academy training because she was considered "too feminine" for police work. Amanda Holley claims that the Port Authority of New Jersey's training officers sexually harassed her, calling her "Barbie doll," "American Girl Doll," and remarking that she required an extra sports bra to contain her breasts, while denying her training and at times physically abusing her.
