"Wage Theft in Restaurants" the New York Times writes urging reform in its home state.
One of the things jumping out in this editorial is the report that nearly 84% of the restaurants investigated by the U.S. Department of Labor between 2010 and 2012 were found in violation of wage and hour and/or overtime laws. Restaurant workers getting ripped off is closer to the normal practice, not the rare exception.
