Whistleblowing doctors and scientists from the FDA have sued the agency for monitoring their private email accounts.  According to the lawsuit, the FDA began monitoring the email accounts in 2007 after the doctors and scientists began informing Congress that the FDA was intending to approve inadequate cancer-detecting devices.  The email accounts were the staffers' private Gmail accounts which they accessed by using the FDA computers at work.
