A firefighter captain, who suffered a number of seizures but was medically cleared to return to work, settled her disability discrimination lawsuit for $245,000.  Following a seizure and neurological tests clearing her return to work the captain was barred from resuming her employment.

Both the Americans With Disabilities Act and Kentucky law prohibit discrimination by an employer based on an employee's perceived disability.
