The parents of a dead soldier have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against USPlabs, the makers of Jack3d, and GNC, the sellers of the diet supplement. The parents are claiming that their son took the recommended amount of Jack3d after buying it at a GNC store and collapsed during a workout. He died shortly after of a respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. The lawsuit also argues that the manufacturers and sellers of the supplement deceptively and deliberately marketed the drug as safe and didn't warn consumers about potential health risks after federal health regulators issued a warning about the contents of the supplement.
