A Megabus double-decker bus crash last month on I-55 has caused three lawsuits to be filed by passengers to obtain compensation for their injuries and medical treatment. The bus blew a tire and crashed into a pillar on the interstate. Dozens of passengers were injured, some very seriously, and at least one killed in the accident. The suits filed in state court in Chicago all claim that the bus operator, Megabus, failed to properly maintain the bus and claim also that the driver was negligent in driving it.
