"It appears to be a waste of everybody's time" said federal appeals court judge Martha Craig Daughtrey in describing the appeal by Karen Sypher, who was convicted last year of attempting to extort Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino. Sypher was sentenced to 87 months after she attempted to extort big money from Pitino.
