$89 Million Drunk Driving Verdict
$89 million was awarded by a jury in its verdict in a drunk driving case. Dennis Riegel Jr., age 28, was killed in a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver, who was driving on a hardship license arising from a previous drunk driving conviction. Riegel's pregnant fiancee was injured in the collision.Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
