Working Off the Clock Leads to City Employees File Class Action Overtime Suit

Administrative employees of Houston's transit agency have filed a class action lawsuit seeking unpaid overtime compensation.  The employees, who worked in administrative and clerical positions, claim that they were forced to work off-the-clock.

Both the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Kentucky wage and hour law, KRS Chapter 338, require that nonexempt employees be paid overtime compensation for all hours worked greater than 40 in a workweek.
