Representatives Misclassified as Independent Contractors Sue for Northwestern Mutual for Overtime and Wages

A class action lawsuit filed in federal court in San Diego claims that representatives for Northwestern Mutual were misclassified as independent contractors instead of employees.  The representatives were paid only on a commission basis.  The suit claims that the representatives, since they were in fact and law employees, are owed back wages and overtime.
