Electrocution of Teen Results in $4.4 Million Damages Verdict

A South Carolina teen, Xavier Massey, who suffered severe injuries and burns from a utility line electrocution, was awarded $4.4 million in damages by a jury. The electrocution happen following a car accident in which a power line was downed. The injuries and medical treatment because of the electrocution included toe amputations, five surgeries, medical bills totaling about $600,000 and life-care cost of $3 million dollars.
