Homeowners Sue Insurer Over Home Replacement Valuation Process

Homeowners in Florida have filed a class action lawsuit against Citizens Property Insurance company claiming that the insurer overvalues the replacement costs of their houses.  The lawsuit claims that Citizens Property uses a software program, 360Value, that overstates the replacement cost of the homes in order to charge more for premiums. The Florida Association for Insurance Reform and the Beausoleil Law Group filed the class action lawsuit.
