Hooters Targeted by Wage & Hour Lawsuits Over Tip Sharing & Promotional Work

Unpaid wages and overtime compensation are sought in a series of class action lawsuits filed in California against Hooter's franchises.  The suits claim that employees were shorted on their share of tips, were not paid for legally-required meal and rest breaks, were not paid adequately for the wages earned for working at promotional events and that required uniforms were not paid for by the employer. The suits were filed in California state court in Alameda, Los Angeles and Sacramento.
