The family of a woman killed in the interstate trucking accident on I-70 received a $35 million verdict from a Missouri jury to compensate them for their losses. Anita Gibbs and three other Kansas City women were killed on I-70 in Missouri with a tractor-trailer rear-ended their vehicle, which was stopped because of an accident ahead. Her family's attorneys showed during the trial that the truck driver had falsified his driving logs and had driven more hours than is lawfully permitted. The verdict was against the Michigan-based CenTra trucking company.
