Kentucky State Police (KSP) K-9 officers have filed a suit making the most basic of claims: they performed work that they were required to do, that it was necessary for them to do and they didn't get paid for it at all. The K-9 officers are required to keep the police dogs at their residences and take care of them at all hours of the day and night. They simply seek to get paid for the work they do. The case is in federal district court in Frankfort, its title is Burke v. Kentucky State Police and you can read the complaint here.
