Low Porch Railings Cited In Wrongful Death Suit Settlement

Porch railings that were too low and violated the building code were cited as the cause of a Chicago man's fall and death. Sean Heflin fell and later died from injuries from a second story porch whose railings were 10 inches lower than required by the building code.  The wrongful death suit was settled for $975,000.
