Sad State of Kentucky Nursing Homes Detailed In Government Report

Kentucky's nursing homes overall rank 15th worst in the United States with ten ranking among the worst in the nation, according to a report from the federal Government Accounting Office (GAO).  The ten worst nursing homes in Kentucky according to the report are as follows:

  • Madison Manor (Richmond)
  • Britthaven (Somerset)
  • Cambridge Place (Lexington)
  • Salyersville Health Care Center (Salyersville)
  • Villaspring (Erlanger)
  • Pembroke Nursing Home (Pembroke)
  • Arbor Place (Clinton)
  • Harborside Healthcare Nursing Home (Florence, Owensboro and Madisonville)
