A whistleblower suit against the pharmacy and prescription management company, CVS Caremark, has been settled for $20 million.  The suit, which was filed by two former pharmacists for the company, claimed that it defrauded the pension and retirement systems of three states, California, Illinois and Florida, by reselling returned drugs, changing prescription orders to make them more expensive, and submitting false reports on how quickly it filled prescriptions.  The employees will share in the settlement under a law that encourages whistleblowers to bring wrong-doing and fraud to light.
