Former Kentucky mining permit director Ron Mills has filed a whistleblower lawsuit claiming that he was wrongfully terminated because he protested when his supervisors improperly approved applications for coal mining permits.

Whistleblower Suit Filed by Fired Mining Director

Claiming that he was wrongfully terminated for complaining when his supervisors improperly approved applications for coal mining permits former Kentucky mining permit director Ron Mills filed a whistleblower lawsuit last week in Franklin Circuit Court.  Mills claims the permits were issued in violation of applicable state law and regulations.  He seeks recovery of lost wages, compensatory damages for embarassment and humiliation and punitive damages.
