Whistleblower To Receive $4.5 Million In Government Fraud Case
A whistleblower who blew the whistle on government contract fraud will receive $4.5 million as part of a settlement between the government and MPC Products Corp., a manufacturer and supplier of fighter jets, helicopters and other military systems. The whistleblower, Joe Caputo, reported that he was ordered to falsify cost and price justifications so MPC could increase its profit margins on government contracts. MPC will pay some $25 million as part of the settlement.Source: Washington Post
