Evidence in the ongoing defective product trial regarding the ASR hip replacement includes a note sent two years before the product was recalled by a doctor, who was a consultant to Johnson & Johnson, stating that the hip replacement device was defective and the company should slow its marketing of the product until the problems were worked out.
