Elena Kagan, Solicitor General, Picked for Supreme Court

Elena Kagan, the Solicitor General, has been nominated by President Obama for the Supreme Court. She replaces Justice John Paul Stevens who announced his retirement last month.  Ms. Kagan would be the 4th woman to serve on the High Court.
