Nursing Homes Neglect & Abuse Yields $114 Million Verdict

Neglect and abuse of a resident at a Auburndale, Florida nursing home led to $114 million jury verdict. The family of Juanita Jackson pursued the lawsuit, which claimed that her abuse and neglect led to her death, as well as earlier abuse including pressure sores, a fall, malnourishment and dehydration. The verdict included $14 million in compensatory damages and $100 million in punitive damages.
