Shortage of Chemotherapy Drugs Threatens Cancer Patients

A shortage of chemotherapy and other drugs poses dire threats to patients leaving doctors to ration treatments, delay treatment and look for alternatives.  Among the chemotherapy drugs in short supply is Doxil. Read here the FDA's current list of medications in short or non-supply.  The reason for these shortages is the profit margin on the drugs is lower than on others, according to a story in Salon by Mary Elizabeth Williams, "The Death Panels Are Already Here."
