What Is Uninsured Motorist Coverage in Kentucky and Why Do I need It?

Uninsured motorist coverage is needed in the event that you are injured by a driver, who has violated the law and failed to get insurance coverage that might offer some coverage for your injuries.  Kentucky law requires all drivers have at least $25,000 of liability coverage. However, estimates are that at least 10% of the vehicles on Kentucky's roads and highways do not have any insurance coverage at all.  Personally, I think that 10% is low. Uninsured motorist coverage protects you and your family.
