Drug Sales Reps File Class Action Suit for Unpaid Overtime

Sales reps for the giant drug company, Novo Nordisk, have filed a class action lawsuit for unpaid overtime compensation.  The suit claims that the "outside sales" exemption to the overtime pay requirements does not apply to them, because doctors do not buy drugs directly from the reps, the reps simply promote the company's drugs without actually completing any sales.  The suit is titled Brown v. Novo Nordisk, Case No. 34-2011-00103639 in Sacramento Superior Court.
