Boyce Works v. LexTran, Fayette Circuit Court, Lexington, Kentucky - Boyce Works was a busdriver for LexTran, the bus company in Lexington, Kentucky. He sustained shoulder and elbow work injuries and needed multiple surgeries. When he was ready to return to work, he was terminated because of his work injuries. After he filed suit, he was told he would be rehired if he dropped his suit, an offer he declined. His case went to trial. The jury awarded him lost wages, compensatory and punitive damages totaling $215,000. He was also reinstated to his job and returned to work.
