A Kansas City woman alleged to be a porn star by two popular radio DJs sued for invasion of privacy and negligent supervision and was awarded $1 million by a Kansas City jury.  Hosts of a popular morning FM radio show on 96.5 FM "The Buzz" in Kansas City requested listeners to send them information about local porn stars.  As a result and despite not being able to confirm the information, the DJs falsely identified Ashley Patton as a local porn star and announced both her name and high school on the air; the station left a podcast of the show online until Ms. Patton complained.  The $1 million verdict consisted of $250,000 in damages and $750,000 in punitive damages.
