Denial of workers comp claims generated bonuses for claims adjusters, according to a Colorado lawmaker. The lawmaker, Colorado State Senator Morgan Carroll, says that documents obtained from the workers compensation insurance company, Pinnacol Assurance, show that claims adjusters were given incentives to dismiss claims. Claims adjusters were given additional incentives to deny claims and hold down costs to promote "customer satisfaction."
