A car crash early Saturday, August 1, 2009, at New Circle Road and Russell Cave Road killed one Lexington man and injured another.  Benny Hughes of Lexington was killed when he ran a red light at the intersection.  Benny Speigle of Lexington was driving a pickup truck that was hit by Mr. Hughes' car.  Mr. Speigle was injured in the accident.
