The family of a teen killed at a railroad crossing in Vermont has filed suit against Amtrak, New England Central Railroad, and the conductor and engineer in a negligence suit. The suit filed by the family of 15 year-old Eric Pratt claims negligence in the railroad's failure to install gates or crossing lights, to property mark the crossing or to clear vegetation allowing a sightline at the crossing, as well that the crossing had a faulty design.
