A group of railroad track laborers have sued Union Pacific for causing their exposure to asbestos-containing materials, which they claim has resulted in asbestos-related lung diseases. The group was employed by Union Pacific for approximately 40 years during which they were consistently exposed to the asbestos material. The workers are asserting their employer continued to use asbestos material even decades after it was discovered how medically harmful the material was.
