A lawsuit seeking overtime compensation brought by a Starbucks store manager has been granted conditional class action lawsuit by the Florida federal judge reportes the Seattle Times, "Starbucks Lawsuit May Be Class-Action."  The lawsuit seeks to represent those persons employed as a Starbucks store manager from January 15, 2006, to the present.

This case yet again illustrates the point that the work "manager" in someone's job title does not mean that they are exempt from overtime pay requirements; this type of misclassification is one of the most common violations of both federal and Kentucky state overtime law.
