A whistleblower who reported to state auditors financial improprieties and irregularities at a natural gas utility and claimed he was fired in retaliation for doing so will receive $120,000 in settlement of his wrongful termination lawsuit. Kent Strunk, who at the time was controller for a natural gas utility, Powell-Clinch Utility District, reported to state auditors actions by the utility president, who was later criminally charged related to the transactions.
