A whistleblower suit against a government contractor, Northrup Grumman, has been settled for $12.5 million.  A former quality assurance manager, Allen Davis, filed the suit after reporting that the company failed to adequately test electronic parts supplied in military aircraft, helicopters and spacecraft.  The suit was filed under the federal False Claims Act and, as a result, the whistleblower will receive $2.4 million of the settlement.
