17%of Nursing Home Residents Overdosed With Antipsychotics

According to a study by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), 17% of nursing home residents received excessive doses of antipsychotic drugs in 2010.  CMS is spearheading a national initiative to reduce the use of antipsychotics by 15% by the end of the year.
