Age discrimination in the workplace will be the topic of a public hearing to be held by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.  The EEOC hopes to draw additional attention to the growing problem of age bias in the workplace.  Age discrimination complaints filed with the EEOC have risen from 15,191 in 1998 to 24,582 in 2008, a record.
