A class action lawsuit alleging age discrimination against employees 45 and older has been filed against the 3M Company reports, "3M Discriminates Against Older Workers, Suit Claims." The suit's material allegations, according to the report, are that older workers were denied leadership training and promotions and were awarded smaller salary increases and fewer stock options than younger employees.

Both the federal Age Discrimination In Employment Act and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act prohibit discriminatory employment practices based on age.
