The EPA will pay the medical bills for persons suffering from asbestos-related illnesses in two Montana towns reports the Washington Post, "EPA To Pay Health Bills For People Sickened By Asbestos From Montana Mine." The two towns, Libby and Troy, have a combined population of about 3900 and presently have some 500 people suffering from asbestos-related diseases such as lung cancer and asbestosis. About 50 new cases arise each year, nearly all from persons who never set foot in the mines.
