The City of San Francisco is suing Monster Beverage for marketing their caffeinated drinks to kids as young as six. The Food and Drug Administration is currently investigating what stimulants can to young children. Though the Monster labels do warn against children consuming the drinks, marketers have been pushing the drinks on children. High caffeine levels in children can result in high blood pressure, brain seizures and severe cardiac arrest. The lawsuit and investigation are ongoing at the moment.
