Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship was indicted yesterday by a federal grand jury and charged with securities fraud, conspiring to violate safety and health standards, conspiring to impede federal inspectors, and making false statements to federal securities regulators. The charges arise most directly from the Upper Big Branch mine disaster in 2010 that killed 29 miners, as well as Blankenship's actions both before and after.  Read the indictment against Don Blankenship.
