Driver-related factors such as speeding, fatigue and inattention were present in approximately one-third of fatal truck accidents in 2010, according to a federal study reports Transport Topics, Drivers A Factor In A Third of Fatal Crashes.  This percentages compares favorably with automobile drivers for whom driver-related factors were cited in two-thirds of fatal accidents in 2010.
