A head-on crash on U.S. 127 involving a SUV and a Gallatin County ambulance resulted in the death of a Dry Ridge man, John Little, who was a patient in the ambulance, which was flipped on its top by the collision. The ambulance EMT, David Waltz, and its driver, Justin Shields, were air-lifted to University Hospital in Cincinnati for treatment as was the SUV driver, Hunter Legrand.
