Weselyan University and one of its fraternities, Beta Theta Pi, have settled a lawsuit by a female student, which claimed that the frat house was a "rape factory" for which the university had a duty to warn her about and protect her from. The female student, who brought the suit under the pseudonym "Jane Doe," sued the university under Title IX, the federal law prohibiting gender discrimination in educational opportunities. The settlement terms were undisclosed.
