Halliburton, the oil services giant that was once run by former Vice-President Dick Cheney, has pleaded guilty to destroying evidence related to its role and responsibility for the Deepwater Horizon oil well explosion in 2010. Halliburton will pay a maximum fine of $200,000 and will be on probation for three years.
