A suit filed by a whistleblower charging Medicare fraud by a hospital has been settled for $3 million. The whistleblower alleged that Trinitas Regional Medical Center defrauded Medicare by inflating its charges.
Under the federal False Claims Act the whistleblower should stand to be rewarded with 15-25% of the recovery.
